Lakefront. Luxury Air-Conditioned Villas located 100 feet from the marina with lovely flowered terrace, provides a panoramic, unobstructive lakefront view east to the South Kawishiwi River. Prime location also is just a short few feet to the south beach on Birch Lake and one of the fire pit areas for evening bonfires.

Three villas are ideal for any special occasion holiday: honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, or for a fabulous get-away retreat for any reason. Larger two bedroom villas are equally fine accommodations for two couples or a family with older children.

Your Minnesota resorts vacation at River Point Resort in Ely, Minnesota is complete with many guest services and outdoor recreation options such as the complimentary Naturalist Activity Program, which includes guided hikes into the Boundary Waters BWCA, instructional canoeing classes, evening wolf howling sessions, birding, photography, sketching classes, and much more. Activities vary weekly. All this and more is offered in the beauty of River Point Resort's private lakefront wilderness peninsula.

 

 

 

Complimentary beach watercraft, including one-and two-person adult and teen kayaks and paddleboats are provided for your use. The Villas are newly remodeled and redecorated and are situated next to a beautiful rock ridge with day-long southern exposure and lovely lake breezes making relaxing on the patio or sun deck by each Villa most enjoyable. Plus, new A/C makes them even more comfortable.

One spacious carpeted bedroom with a comfortable queen bed in a beautifully decorated atmosphere with soft and cuddly "North Woods" comforter on the bed. Bathroom adjacent with double whirlpool tub plus shower. Large window in the bedroom and additional bathroom window, plus bedroom ceiling fan and A/C.

Lovely, relaxing living room with a new double sleeper sofa, and all new tables. and lamps done in the perfect decor for your wilderness experience. Wood-burning fireplace rounds out the ambience with plenty of complimentary firewood for cozy evenings "in front of the fire".

Stoneridge Villa (upper level): Two Bedrooms 

Two carpeted bedrooms; one with a comfortable queen bed in airy, light-filled bedroom. Second large bedroom has a double bed and one set of twin bunk beds--perfect for single persons wanting their own bed, or families with older children. Both bedrooms have roomy dressers and ceiling fans plus A/C. Extra hall closet makes storage even easier.  

Very large bathroom with double whirlpool tub plus shower complete with custom ceramic tile, and extra touches such as the granite-topped storage dresser for toweling, is most relaxing and theraputic.  

Spacious, knotty pine living room with new queen sleeper sofa and all new tables, designer lamps, and comfy chairs is artfully styled in  classic and sophisticated "North Woods" decor--view living room image at top of link.

Two, spacious carpeted bedrooms, one with a comfortable queen bed, the other with a double bed with designer bedding.

Good-sized kitchen with large dining table, and all electric appliances, including a dishwasher, makes "livin" easy when on vacation at River Point. Dine in or dine outside on the patio.

Comfortable, light-filled knotty pine living room is complete with a new queen sofa that opens up to a "sleeper" for an extra person or two, and all new tables, lamps, and comfy chairs done in a beautiful "North Woods" decor, plus A/C. View livingroom images above.

Private patio with lounging chairs has an unobstructive, beautiful view to the water. Gas grill is handy to grill dinne for a relaxing end to a day at the lake.

When couples select the Honeymoon/Romance Package with their luxury Villa or new Chalet accommodation, the honeymoon package includes a canoe and a 16' boat with 9.9 or 15 hp motor for the entire duration of the wilderness vacation! Also included is a half day (4 hours) cruising beautiful Birch Lake on one of River Point Resort's pontoon boats or a pro-fishing/touring boat. Refer to Honeymoon & Romance for more information. Lodging Rates and all motorized boat rentals are subject to applicable 9.875% MN Sales Tax and Local Tax, and a 5% service fee. The Spring Fishing Packages, Taste of the Northwoods Canoe Trip Package, and Honeymoon/Romance Packages subject to 6% service fee. Other rates subject to 6.875% MN Sales Tax. Staff gratuities discretionary.

FYI: The service fee on lodging accommodations, motorized watercraft, and on all packages help to support staff gratuities, the program of activities offered during the summer months, high speed internet service located by the lodge/office, abundant supply of firewood for wood-burning fireplaces and the three outside fire pits, plus other services. Additional staff gratuities are discretionary and encouraged, especially for guided trips and housekeepers.  

Rates subject to change

• A 3-day minimum preferred on partial week rentals. Single night rentals based on availability, adn full week villa rentals are also available.

• We are happy to fulfill specific lodging requests, but also attempt to best satisfy specific accommodations occupancy capabilities

• With the rental of a 2-3 bedroom accommodation during the time of 6/23-8/10, it is recommended and preferred that a motorized watercraft be rented for the length of your reservation, unless bringing your own boat--refer to dockage rates. 
• It is preferred that families with children under the age of twelve select a vacation home for their holiday, if available.

If you enjoy a Minnesota walleye fishing vacation, or if fishing is your outdoor recreation pursuit, your premier luxury wilderness lodge vacation at River Point Resort also includes a complimentary fishing seminar, minnow buckets, landing nets, fish cleaning service, and more. Birch Lake and the South Kawishiwi River have not only walleye, but also northern pike, small mouth bass, crappie, and bluegill. Refer to River Point's Amenities for waterfront information, including boat and motor rental. 

River Point does not offer a full service restaurant. However, snacks and beverages, including pizza, ice cream, beer, sodas, and more are available in the Wildwood Lodge.  Local grocery stores offer great food options for preparing and enjoying your meals at River Point's gorgeous lake facility in the comfort of your Villa with full kitchen and outside gas grill. Or, drive into Ely, roughly 10 minutes away, for many dining choices from simple and inexpensive to gourmet fare.

Wildlife abounds at River Point. It is not uncommon to be able to observe a mother loon nesting or enjoy the antics of the many deer on River Point's private peninsula. Our little oasis on the north and most private end of 20-mile long Birch Lake means more opportunities for you to enjoy a glimpse of the North Country's wildlife.
