Log Cabin

 

Lakefront/Two Bedrooms.   One of the Minnesota cabins that feels like "your own cabin at the lake" is set back just 60 feet from the shoreline and one of River Point's two beaches--perfect for the swimmers in the group! Incredibly private location with level ground for easy access to the water. Birch and tall white pine trees serve as the "backdrop" surrounding this authentic log cabin vacation home.

Families and fishing groups enjoy the picnic table, lounging chairs, chaise loungers, and gas grill that make hanging out on the spacious sundeck simply perfect on a warm summer day when cooking up fresh fish or burgers. Two carpeted bedrooms, one with a double bed; the other with a double bed and one twin bed. Kitchen with electric stove with oven, electric refrigerator, and microwave oven, and all the small electrics, such as blender, hand mixer, drip coffee pot, and toaster. Bath with shower. Living room area with comfy seating and a lakeview.  

Superb lakefront view of Birch Lake from the large screened porch with comfortable furniture, including a sofa sleeper, table and lamp, and additional chair--also small table for lakefront dining for two while watching the sun set. The Point

 

Lakefront/Two Bedrooms.  Very private vacation home cabin nestled on an incredible, secluded point of land and forested hilltop 60 feet from the water overlooking Birch Lake and the South Kawishiwi River in three directions. Beautiful trees and terrain from this Minnesota resorts cabin.

The Point is a smaller two bedroom lakefront cabin with spacious sun deck and screened porch with dining area--and amazing lakefront view with equally amazing surroundings. Gas grill, picnic table, lounging chairs, and chaise loungers make outside living great. Bath with shower. Two carpeted bedrooms with a double bed in one bedroom; the other bedroom with one set of twin bunk beds. Knotty pine kitchen has a dining and sitting area including a ceiling fan.

The full kitchen is complete with dishwasher, new electric refrigerator, stove, new cabinets,  microwave, and all the small electric conveniences such as hand mixer, blender, toaster, and drip coffee pot.

Dining table for four looks out through the screen porch for all to enjoy the beautiful water views and the many pine and birch trees surrounding this cabin. This economical cabin choice is superb for two to four persons.

Summerbreeze

 

Lakefront/Two Bedrooms.   Summerbreeze is a smaller, most secluded two bedroom lakefront vacation home cabin surrounded by birch and pine trees, 60 feet from the water. On the same hilltop as The Point, it offers the same panoramic, sweeping lakefront views of the South Kawishiwi River and Birch Lake from the screened porch with dining area, and two-level sun deck. (Refer to screen porch image above.) As far as you can see, the treeline and the waters extend from your vantage point.

Two carpeted bedrooms, each with a double bed. Combination kitchen with dining and sitting area, plus glorious lakefront view.

Full knotty pine kitchen with dishwasher and new cabinets, electric stove and new refrigerator, and microwave, plus the small electrics such as toaster, hand mixer, blender, and drip coffee pot.

Kitchen table for four persons in the dining area faces the water extending the wonderful lake view for all to enjoy. Bath with shower. Ceiling fan. Gas grill, picnic table, lounging chairs, and chaise loungers. This economical cabin choice is great for two-four persons.

Hideaway

 

Lakefront/One Bedroom.  This economical Minnesota vacation cabin is nestled for privacy among tall Norway pine and spruce trees with lots of "breathing space", just 60 feet from the lake, with its own private road leading to the cabin and a private dock. Level ground to the lake provides easy access to the water.

Bathroom has custom ceramic flooring and shower. One carpeted bedroom includes one queen bed and a double sleeper sofa, and ceiling fan. Kitchen with microwave oven, electric refrigerator, and stove with oven, also has the small electric appliances--hand mixer, blender, toaster, and drip coffee pot, plus a ceiling fan. Dining table extends the view through the screen porch to natural beauty outside.  

Air conditioning throughout this lakefront cabin.

The view of the Kawishiwi River from the screen porch and sun deck is panoramic and extends to the other side of the river. Relaxing in the screen porch with a good book or enjoying a quiet evening of conversation is ever so renewing. On the large sundeck is a gas grill, and lounging chairs. Picnic table adjacent for another place to enjoy the grounds surrounding this quaint cabin.

Lodging Rates and all motorized boat rentals are subject to applicable 9.875% MN Sales Tax and Local Tax, and a 5% service fee. The Spring Fishing Packages, Taste of the Northwoods Canoe Trip Package, and Honeymoon/Romance Packages subject to 6% service fee. Other rates subject to 6.875% MN Sales Tax. Staff gratuities discretionary.

FYI: The service fee on lodging accommodations, motorized watercraft and packages help to support staff gratuities, the program of activities offered during the summer months, high speed internet service located by the lodge/office, abundant supply of firewood for wood-burning fireplaces and the three outside fire pits, plus other services. Additional staff gratuities are discretionary and encouraged, especially for guided trips and housekeepers.

• We are happy to fulfill specific lodging requests, but also attempt to best satisfy unit occupancy capabilities.

• With a reservation of any two or three bedroom accommodation, and/or the Riverview Luxury Vacation Home cabin for the time of 6/23 - 8/10, it is recommended and preferred that a motorized watercraft is rented for the length of your reservation, unless bringing your own personal motorized watercraft--refer to dockage rates.

Your special wilderness Minnesota resorts vacation at the lake comes complete with many guest services and outdoor recreation options such as the complimentary Naturalist Program with activities that vary such as: guided hikes into the Boundary Waters, instructional canoeing classes, evening wolf howling sessions, birding, photography and sketching classes, arts and crafts, and more.

Consider taking a 2-day, 1-night "Taste of the North Woods" Boundary Waters BWCA canoe trip as part of your River Point Resort Holiday. This special package was featured in a recent issue of Midwest Living Magazine--especially great for the adventurous ones in your family or group, and. . .great for gift-giving, too!

The Wildwood Lodge-one of the most pleasant lodges in the area is located at River Point Resort. It is a entertaining place to meet other resort guests, talk about fishing and the weather, have a snack or beverage, shop in the Wolf Den Gift Shop, or enjoy a game of chess or cards.

River Point does not offer a full service restaurant in the Wildwood Lodge. However, snacks and beverages, including pizza, ice cream, beer, sodas, and more are available. Local grocery stores offer great food options for preparing and enjoying your meals at River Point's gorgeous lake facility in the comfort of your Vacation Home-your Ely Minnesota cabins-with full kitchen and outside gas grill. Or, drive into Ely, roughly 10 minutes away, for many dining choices from simple and inexpensive to gourmet fare.

Twenty + beach watercraft, including one- and two-person kayaks and paddleboats are complimentary, plus new sea kayaks are available for a small rental fee.

FISHING and BOATING 

If you enjoy Minnesota walleye fishing, or if fishing is your outdoor recreation pursuit, your premier wilderness resort lodge vacation at River Point Resort also includes a complimentary fishing seminar, minnow buckets, landing nets, fish cleaning service, and more.

Boating 20-mile long Birch Lake is amazing! Virtually all shoreline is undeveloped and a site to behold with vast granite cliffs and unending pine trees.
